Find-Me / Follow-Me

Find-Me / Follow-Me, also known as Advanced Call Forwarding, allows you to forward all call to more than one phone simultaneously. Using the on-line User portal, you can set up this feature so that you office phone, cell phone and home phone all ring at the same time whenever somebody calls your VoIP number. You can then answer the call from any phone that is most convenient. 

To ensure you never miss any of your important calls you can set up multiple, sequential call forwarding rules using the Find-Me-Follow-Me feature. Using the online User portal you can set up this feature so that all incoming calls are directed to your Office IP phone and if the phone is not answered the call is forwarded to your cell phone. If you are not able to answer the cell phone, the call can be further forwarded to your Soft Phone or even your home phone number. 

This feature can even be combined with Advanced Call Forwarding, and the call can be forwarded to multiple phones simultaneously. For example, after trying your office IP phone, the call is simultaneously forwarded to your cell phone and soft phone. If you are unable to answer any of these phones, the call is forwarded to your home phone number or another office branch able to handle after hours support. 

How it works:

All call forwarding features can be set up through the on line User Portal. Simply log into your User Portal form any location that has Internet Access and click on the Service Setup link.

  • From the Service Setup Screen, click the “Setup Find-Me/Follow-Me” button in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.
  • Click on the “Edit Find-Me/Follow-Me” button.
  • Next, click on the “Add new number” button at the bottom of the call list. Add all the numbers you may want the call forwarded to. For example, add your Office number, your softphone number, cell phone number, home office and support desk number.
  • Once you have added all the numbers Press Next.
  • From the numbers now included in your Find-Me/Follow-Me list, select the number you want the call directed to first and click the Add button to include it into the first phone number group.
  • Add any numbers you want the call forwarded to simultaneously in the first phone group as well. You can include from 1 to 5 numbers in the group to be called simultaneously.
  • Specify the number of seconds this group is to be called. For example, forward the call to office IP phone and soft phone first for 30 seconds. If not answered in that time, the call is forwarded to the numbers listed in the second phone group.
  • Next move on to specifying the phone numbers and rules for the second, third and fourth phone groups as required. Once completed, press the Update button to save your settings and log out of the User Portal.
